NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Senior midfielder
Sky Carrasquillo (Alpharetta, Ga.) of the No. 10 Yale women's lacrosse team has been added to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List. The Tewaaraton committee announced the second round of additions to the list Thursday.
The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top female college lacrosse player in the United States.
Carrasquillo is tied for sixth in the Ivy League in goals this season (23). She is second on the team in that category. She is third on the team in points (23-3-26) and draw controls (30).
Carrasquillo joins senior attacker
Jenna Collignon (Hinsdale, Ill.), junior defender
Emmy Pascal (Lorton, Va.) and senior midfielder
Fallon Vaughn (Concord, Mass.), who were on the initial Tewaaraton Award Watch List that was announced on Feb. 6.
After the initial Watch List was announced, the first additions were announced Mar. 7. Thursday marked the second round of additions. The field will be narrowed to 25 nominees on Apr. 17. Nominees can be players from the Watch List or not from the Watch List, effectively allowing for a third round of additions.
Five finalists will be announced in early May, and the recipient will be chosen after the conclusion of the collegiate lacrosse season.
Yale (7-2, 1-1 Ivy League) hosts No. 9 Princeton Saturday.
