Women's Golf Set for 2025 Ivy League Championships

NAPLES, Fla. – It's tournament time for the Yale women's golf team as they head to Southwest Florida to compete in the 2025 Ivy League Championship. The event begins on Friday, April 18, at Royal Palm Golf Club and runs through Sunday, April 20.

The Lineup
Teeing off in Naples for the Bulldogs will be Mia Sessa, Alexis Kim, Katie Ha, Joanne Lee, Selena Tang, and Ellie Koo.

About the Course
  • The 188-acre course was originally designed by David Wallace in 1976, with a minor renovation completed in 2000 by Gordon Lewis.
  • In 2019, the Club underwent a full-scale renovation with the help of Ron Garl Golf Design and Total Golf Construction.
  • The upgrade included redesigned holes, new bunkers, updated irrigation, new cart paths, and expanded practice facilities.
About the Tournament
  • Tee times are set for 9 a.m. each day.
  • The format is 54 holes, with 18 holes played daily.
  • The Bulldogs have captured seven Ivy League Championships in program history, with the most recent team title coming in 2011.
  • Jennifer Peng was the last Yale golfer to earn medalist honors, doing so at the 2016 Ivy League Championship.
Recapping the 2024 Championships
  • Yale finished second with a total team score of 901, just two strokes behind champion Dartmouth (903).
  • The Bulldogs had two top-10 finishers: Mia Sessa tied for second with a 222 (74–75–73), while Sophie Simon placed sixth with a 224 (74–76–74).
  • Three additional Bulldogs finished in the top 20: Alexis Kim tied for 14th (230), and first-years Selena Tang and Joanne Lee tied for 17th (232).
Team Notes
  • Senior captain Alexis Kim is making her fourth appearance at the Ivy League Championships.
  • Junior Mia Sessa is making her third appearance at the tournament. 
  • Sophomore Joanne Lee is the reigning Ivy League Rookie of the Year and making her second start at the championships. 
  • Sophomore Selena Tang will be making her second-consecutive start. 
  • First years Ellie Koo and Katie Ha will be making their Ivy League postseason debuts.
