Bulldogs Fall Short in Overtime Battle Against UAlbany

ALBANY, N.Y. – Seven Bulldogs tallied goals, but the Yale men's lacrosse team saw its four-game winning streak snapped on Saturday evening, falling to the UAlbany Great Danes, 15-14, in overtime at Casey Stadium.
 
The loss drops Yale's record to 5-6, and UAlbany improves to 6-8.

Scoring Summary
  • Q1 | The Bulldogs jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after consecutive goals by Keib. However, UAlbany responded with two goals of their own, knotting the score at the 11:47 mark. After the teams were tied again at four, the Bulldogs surged ahead with three goals, two of which came from Johnson, to take a three-goal advantage into the second quarter. 7-4 YALE
  • Q2 | UAlbany scored five consecutive goals in the quarter to claim a 9-7 lead. Lyons scored with 48 seconds left, but the Great Danes still held a one-goal edge at halftime. UALBANY 9-8
  • Q3 | The teams traded goals, with neither side pulling ahead by more than one for most of the quarter.
