Bulldogs Pick Up Second Straight Ivy Win; Take Down Penn

PHILADELPHIA – 10 Bulldogs tallied goals as the Yale men's lacrosse team recorded its second straight conference victory with a crucial 14-11 road win at Penn on Saturday.
 
The Bulldogs held 4-1 lead after the first quarter, and didn't look back the rest of the way.
 
Yale improves to 3-5, 2-2 (Ivy League) and Penn drops to 4-7, 1-3 (Ivy League).

Scoring Summary
  • Q1 | The Bulldogs surged ahead early, securing a 3-0 lead with goals from Lyons, Sharp, and Johnson. Penn netted a goal at the 3:04 mark, but Lyons responded with his second of the quarter, extending the Bulldogs' lead back to three goals. 4-1 YALE
  • Q2 | Yale kept up the pressure, as Krevsky scored his first of the game to push the lead to 5-1 at the 14:04 mark. Penn fought back with three consecutive goals, closing the gap to 5-4, but the Bulldogs responded with four straight goals of their own, capped by a score from Moynihan. 9-4 YALE
  • Q3 | Sharp and Moynihan each scored their second goals of the game, pushing Yale to a 10-5 lead at the 10:56 mark. Penn answered with two consecutive goals, but the Bulldogs maintained a four-goal advantage heading into the fourth quarter. 11-7 YALE
  • Q4 | Krevsky scored his second of the game (13-8), and Cashion sealed the win with his ninth goal of the season with 2:05 remaining. 14-11 YALE
