NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Four members of the Yale men's lacrosse team garnered NEILA All-New England honors, announced on Friday morning.
Leo Johnson,
Max Krevsky, and
Jack Stuzin were First Team selections, and
Machado Rodriguez was tabbed to the Second Team.
Johnson, a Second Team All-Ivy honoree, was a key contributor for the Bulldogs this season, scoring 26 goals, the second-highest total on the team, while leading Yale with 20 assists and 46 total points. The senior also ranked seventh in the conference in assists per game (1.29) and ninth in points per game (3.54).
Krevsky, recently selected 14th overall by the New York Atlas in last week's Premier Lacrosse League draft, wrapped up an impressive senior season at Yale, where he was named to the Second Team All-Ivy and an Inside Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American. Krevsky recorded 12 goals and 11 assists, finishing third on the team in total assists. He contributed at least one assist in eight of Yale's 13 games this season.
Stuzin, a Second Team All-Ivy honoree was a key part of Yale's defense. He ranked third on the team in ground balls (37) and led the Bulldogs with 15 caused turnovers.
Rodriguez, an Honorable Mention All-Ivy selection, was one of the top faceoff men in the conference throughout the season. He held a .536 faceoff win percentage, which ranked second in the Ivy League. Nationally, he ranked 19th in ground balls per game (5.91) and led the team with 65 ground balls.
