Michalik Garners All-World Honors at U20 World Lacrosse Championship

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Rising junior Luke Michalik from Yale men's lacrosse was tabbed to the All-World Team, announced by World Lacrosse on Sunday. Michalik competed with Australia and earned the honors alongside nine others at the conclusion of the 2025 Men's U20 World Championship on Jeju Island in Korea.

Michalik was an integral part of a solid Australian defense that led the team to a bronze medal. The Rye, New York, native took on opposing teams' best attackers and helped the team shut out the Haudenosaunee in the second half of the bronze medal game.

The win for Australia also completed a sweep in Korea over the Haudenosaunee, after earning a 15-14 overtime victory in the first meeting of pool play. In 2022, Australia defeated the Haudenosaunee in pool play before falling in the bronze medal game but previously had not beaten the Haudenosaunee in any men's field contest since 2006.
