NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior
Colton Shaw tossed eight fantastic innings to lead the Yale baseball team to a 7-2 victory over Penn on the second day of the Ivy League Tournament. After both teams lost yesterday, Saturday's contest was a do-or-die scenario in the double elimination tournament format.
With the victory, Yale advanced to the third day of the conference tournament. The Bulldogs will play the loser between Columbia and Harvard. Yale improved to 31-13 overall and 1-1 in tournament play.

- Shaw was magnificent on the mound. The senior captain retired the first 12 batters he faced. He finished the game, tossing 8.0 innings while only allowing one run and three hits.
- Garrett Larsen recorded two hits and drove in a pair of runs.
- Tommy Martin hit a two-run home run in the seventh to put the game out of reach.
