NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Senior Michael Bennett and junior Abu Kamara have been named to the 2025 Stats Perform FCS Preseason All-America Team, as announced on Tuesday, July 15. Both Bulldogs earned spots on the First Team.
Kamara is coming off a breakout 2024 campaign in which he earned Honorable Mention All-America honors from the Associated Press, All-New England recognition from the New England Football Writers Association, and was named First Team All-Ivy. He was also a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award, which honors the national defensive player of the year in Division I FCS football.
Bennett, a standout offensive lineman, was a 2024 First Team All-Ivy selection and earned Phil Steele FCS Postseason Second Team All-League honors.
This year's preseason All-America list includes 102 student-athletes from 54 schools across all 13 FCS conferences. Illinois State and UIW led all programs with six selections each, while defending national champion North Dakota State and South Dakota had five apiece.
