PRINCETON, N.J. – Senior linebacker Inumidun Ayo-Durojaiye has been named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday, Sept. 29.
Ayo-Durojaiye anchored Yale's defense in the Bulldogs' 41-24 win over Cornell on Sept. 27, finishing with a career-high 17 tackles. His performance surpassed his previous best of 12 (Nov. 9, 2024 vs. Brown) and marked the most by a Yale player since Foye Oluokun recorded 16 against Colgate in 2014.
The Bulldog defense also turned in a historic effort, amassing 99 total tackles, which is the program's highest single-game total since posting 108 against Lehigh in 2016.
Yale will face No. 9 Lehigh on the road on Saturday, Oct. 4.
