NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's hockey team fell to Clarkson, 3-2, at Ingalls Rink. With the loss, Yale dropped to 5-11-0 overall and 4-6-0 in ECAC Hockey, while the Golden Knights improved to 11-11-0 overall and 5-5-0 in conference play.
Period 1: Yale 1, Clarkson 1
- 15:56 – The Golden Knights got on the board with four minutes remaining in the first period.
- 19:36 – With 24.2 seconds remaining in the frame, Iisai Pesonen received a pass from Donovan Frias, kicked it to control, and lifted a nifty backhand over the glove side of Clarkson's netminder.
Period 2: Yale 2, Clarkson 1
- 13:18 – David Chen controlled the puck along the goal line, drawing the defender to him, then fed a short pass to David Andreychuk, who finished with a one-timer.
Period 3: Clarkson 3, Yale 2
- 17:09 – Late in regulation, Clarkson netted the equalizer.
- 19:29 – With 31 seconds remaining and a scramble in front of the net, the Golden Knights found the back of the net for the game-winner.
