TROY, N.Y. – The Bulldogs' offense exploded for eight goals, while sophomore netminder Noah Pak stopped 28 shots as the Yale men's hockey team rolled to an 8-3 victory over Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI). Yale improved to 6-11-0 overall and 5-6-0 in ECAC Hockey, while the Engineers fell to 5-17-0 overall and 2-9-0 in conference play.

Period 1: Yale 2, RPI 1

• 7:33 (YAL) – Donovan Frias opened the scoring for the Bulldogs, crashing the net and putting away his own rebound.
• 12:19 (YAL) – Frias' shot bounced and redirected to Iisai Pesonen, who wristed it through traffic to extend Yale's lead.
• 18:21 (RPI) – RPI cut the lead to one with just over a minute and a half remaining in the first period.

Period 2: Yale 5, RPI 1

• 12:00 (YAL) – On the rush during a penalty kill, James Shannon fired a missile glove side to restore Yale's two-goal lead.
• 17:10 (YAL) – Will Richter circled out of the corner and fed David Chen, who patiently found David Andreychuk in the slot for a one-timer finish.
• 17:42 (YAL) – Chen set up Hudson Miller with a cross-ice pass, and Miller ripped a shot from the face-off dot to cap the period scoring.

Period 3: Yale 8, RPI 3

• 5:38 (YAL) – Andreychuk picked up a loose puck behind the net and buried a wraparound goal.
• 10:25 (YAL) – James Shannon won the draw back to Kalen Szeto, who fired a shot from the top of the slot.
• 12:39 (RPI) – RPI capitalized on a burst of momentum to score their second goal of the night.
• 13:02 (RPI) – Just 23 seconds later, the Engineers struck again.
• 19:37 (YAL) – With 23 seconds remaining, Will Richter weaved through three Engineers and slotted one past the netminder to seal the win.

• This was Yale's second eight-goal game of the season—a feat last accomplished during the 2009-10 season.
• Yale has scored eight goals in two of its last three outings, a mark last achieved in back-to-back games against Brown on Jan. 22 and Jan. 25, 1986.
• Noah Pak earned his fourth win of the season between the pipes.
• Donovan Frias extended his point streak to five games with a 1-goal, 4-assist performance—his first four-point game of his career. The last Bulldog to record four points in a single game was Cole Donhauser vs. Army on Jan. 2, 2023.
• Iisai Pesonen is on a four-game point streak, recording a goal and an assist tonight. He has three goals and three assists during the streak.
• David Chen and Rhys Bentham are also riding four-game point streaks. Chen has one goal and four assists, while Bentham has one goal and three assists over that span.
