PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Yale men's swimming & diving team kicked off 2026 in style, breaking eight pool records en route to a victories over Penn and Dartmouth on Saturday at Sheerr Pool.
The Bulldogs took down the Quakers, 203-97, and then the Big Green, 218-82.
The Results
- 200-yard Medley Relay: The quartet of Lucius Brown, Alexander Hazlett, Nick Finch, and Deniel Nankov won the event in a pool record time of 1:26.21.
- 1000-yard Freestyle: Arshak Hambardzumyan placed first with a time of 9:07.05.
- 100-yard Breaststroke: Charlie Egeland had a strong swim, winning the event in a pool record time of 52.62.
- 50-yard Freestyle: Finch finished first in a pool record time of 19.55.
- 1M Dive: Nicholas Chau won the event with a score of 301.60.
- 100-yard Freestyle: Nankov won in a pool record time of 43.93.
- 200-yard Backstroke: Crash Ackerly placed first with a time of 1:45.12.
- 200-yard Breaststroke: Egeland won his second event of the day in a time of 1:56.14.
- 500-yard Freestyle: Noah Millard placed first in a pool record time of 4:22.91.
- 100-yard Butterfly: Finch picked up another win, finishing first in a pool record time of 46.28.
- 3M Dive: Brady Stanton won the event with a score of 324.75.
- 200-yard IM: Kavin Li touched the wall first in a pool record time of 1:46.63.
- 400-yard Freestyle Relay: Finch's lead off broke Nankov's 100 freestyle pool record, and then the entire quartet with Nankov, Jake Wang, and Millard won the event in a pool record time of 2:54.65.
