James Shannon scored the game-winning goal as the Yale men's hockey team earned a crucial 4-1 road victory over Union on Saturday night. Yale improved to 7-11-0 overall and evened its ECAC Hockey record at 6-6-0, while the Garnet Chargers dropped to 14-7-2 overall and 5-6-1 in conference play.

- 4:38 (YAL) – As Kurt Gurkan applied pressure at the point, James Shannon collected a loose puck along the boards and skated down ice. From his off wing, Shannon fired a shot glove side to give Yale the lead.
- 19:14 (YAL) – Shannon sealed the win with his second goal of the night, backhanding the puck into the empty net from Yale's defensive zone.
- 19:30 (YAL) – Donovan Frias slid a neutral-zone pass to Tom Molson, who iced the game with Yale's second empty-net goal.
