NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale men's swimming and diving team celebrated its senior day in a big way on Saturday afternoon, breaking two Kiphuth Pool records en route to a 195.5-104.5 victory over Cornell.
Nick Finch and
Noah Millard shattered the pool records, with Finch touching 45.77 in the 100 butterfly and Millard finishing the 1650 freestyle in an impressive 15:03.15.
The Results
- 400-yard medley relay: The quartet of Jake Wang, Charlie Egeland, Finch, and Deniel Nankov won the event in a time of 3:07.66.
- 1000-yard freestyle: Millard took first with a time of 9:09.99.
- 200-yard freestyle: Lars Kuljus touched the wall first with a time of 1:36.39.
- 50-yard freestyle: Finch won the event with a time of 19.78.
- 3M Dive: Nicholas Chau took first with a score of 355.28.
- 100-yard freestyle: Nankov won the event in a time of 44.45.
- 500-yard freestyle: Millard picked up another win with a time of 4:23.06.
- 100-yard butterfly: Finch won the event in a Kiphuth Pool record time of 45.77.
- 1M Dive: Chau completed the sweep on the boards, winning the event with a score of 336.83.
- 200-yard IM: Wang touched the wall first in a time of 1:48.08.
- 200-yard freestyle: The quartet of Mak Nurkic Kacapor, Lucius Brown, Nareg Minassian, and Finch won the event in 1:19.94.
- 1650-yard freestyle: Millard closed out the day with a strong swim, finishing in a Kiphuth Pool record time of 15:03.15.
