Bulldogs Extend Winning Streak to Eight Games, Top No. 10 Cornell 3-1

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The No. 11/13-ranked Yale women's ice hockey team continued its impressive run in 2026, defeating No. 10 Cornell on Saturday afternoon at Ingalls Rink. The Bulldogs topped the Big Red 3-1 for the team's eighth straight victory.

The win wraps up a fantastic weekend for the Bulldogs after taking down No. 11/13 Colgate on Friday night and Cornell on Saturday. Yale vanquished two top-tier conference opponents at home and has not lost an ECAC Hockey contest since Dec. 6.

With the victory, Yale improved to 16-7 overall with an 11-5 mark in conference play. The Bulldogs currently sit in second in the ECAC Hockey standings with 30 points. Cornell dropped to 12-7-2 overall with a conference record of 8-5-1.

Scoring Summary
• P1, 11:22 | YALE GOAL! On the power play, Carina DiAntonio converted a wrist shot off a beautiful pass from Jordan Ray. 1-0 YALE
• P1, 13:01 | YALE GOAL! Less than two minutes later, the Bulldogs went on the power play again. A wrist shot from Molly Boyle at the point was deflected into the back of the net by Stephanie Stainton, giving Yale the two-goal lead. 2-0 YALE
• P1, 19:15 | Cornell cut into the Yale lead with a goal by Grace Dwyer. 2-1 YALE
• P2, 15:24 | YALE GOAL! After an initial shot by Mariya Rauf was saved by Cornell goaltender Annelies Bergmann, Emma McGowan put in the rebound to increase the Yale lead to two scores once again. 3-1 YALE

Game Notes
• Yale topped Cornell at home for the first time since 2022.
• Yale won its eighth straight game, the team's longest win streak since the 2022-23 season, when the Bulldogs won 15 straight games.
• The Bulldogs have not lost at Ingalls Rink since Nov. 14.
• DiAntonio scored her team-leading 16th goal of the season. She leads all ECAC players with 13 in-conference goals.
• Ray added her 19th assist of the season. She also sits atop the conference leader board with 14 in-conference assists.
• Stainton scored her 10th goal of the season.
• McGowan tallied her second goal of the year. She finished the weekend with a pair of points.
• Yale goaltender Samson Frey was once again excellent in net, stopping a career-high 33 shots. Frey finished the weekend with 52 saves while only allowing one goal.
