NEW YORK – The Yale women's track and field team concluded competition at the Dr. Sander Scorcher, hosted by Columbia at The Armory, on Saturday. This meet gave the Bulldogs a chance to test themselves against some of the top competition in the region, including Ivy League opponents Brown, Columbia, Cornell and Harvard (second at indoor Heps last year).

Notable Performances: 
 
Distance

• Senior Charlotte Whitehurst won the 5K with a time of 16:22.13. Whitehurst moved into first halfway through the race and never relinquished the lead. Her time places her fifth on Yale's all-time list. 
• Junior Hebe Chadwick placed 10th in the mile with a time of 4:48.13. Chadwick was third among Ivy League competitors, behind two runners from Cornell.
• Yale had two of the top three finishers in the open mile: sophomore Sylvie Sanok Dufallo (second, 4:54.07) and junior Daniella Henderson (third, 4:56.87).

 
Sprints

• Junior Gloria Guerrier was seventh in the seeded 200m with a time of 25.05.

 
Jumps

• First-year Shreya Sathiyan took eighth in the pole vault with a mark of 3.65m. Classmate Milla Signorelli was 10th with a mark of 3.65m as well (Signorelli needed one more attempt than Sathiyan at 3.50m). That 3.65m mark is sixth on Yale's all-time list. 
• Sophomore Alyssa Anderson placed eighth in the open long jump (5.00m).

 
Throws

• Sophomore Anna Siciliano was third in the open shot put with a mark of 13.72m. That moves her into fourth on Yale's all-time list.
