Men’s Lacrosse Falls to No. 11 Army in Season Opener

WEST POINT, N.Y. – Six Bulldogs scored, but No. 11 Army used a big third quarter to take down the Yale men's lacrosse team, 12-6, on Saturday afternoon in its season opener at Michie Stadium.
 
Army improved to 3-0, and Yale dropped to 0-1.
 
With Yale leading 6-3 at halftime, the Black Knights erupted for seven unanswered goals in the third quarter and maintained control for the remainder of the game.

  • Q1 | The Bulldogs wasted no time setting the tone, with Moynihan finding the back of the net just 57 seconds into the game to give Yale an early edge. Pascal then extended the lead to 2–0 at the 12:03 mark. Army answered with 6:48 remaining in the quarter, but Yale carried a one-goal advantage into the second. 2-1 YALE
  • Q2 | Yale continued to push the pace, with goals from Sheehan and Grogan stretching the lead to 4–1 at the 13:01 mark. Army responded with a score of its own, but the Bulldogs answered back as Jackson and Gately found the net, pushing the advantage to four goals at 6–2.
