Jack Ohman tossed 8.1 innings of one-run baseball to lead the Yale baseball team to a 7-1 win over Pepperdine in the opening contest of a three-game set in California.
With the victory, Yale improved to 2-2 overall. Pepperdine dropped to 1-7 overall.

- Ohman hurled 8.1 innings while allowing only three hits and one run. He struck out nine while throwing under 100 pitches.
- Senior Davis Hanson hit a solo shot in the ninth and scored two runs.

- Friday's matchup marked the first time that Yale and Pepperdine have played each other.
- After a brilliant campaign in his debut season, Ohman is off to a fantastic start in year two. Through two games, Ohman has tossed 13.1 innings, pitching to a 1.35 ERA with 19 strikeouts.
- Tate Evans relieved Ohman, getting the final two outs and maneuvering out of a bases-loaded jam.
- Hanson played in his first game since 2024 after missing all of last season with an injury.
- Dossa added one hit and has hit safely in all four games this season. He leads the team with six RBIs.
- Bryce Miller picked up two knocks, recording the first multi-hit game of his collegiate career.
