Men’s Lacrosse Falls to No. 15 Penn State

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – Luke Pascal and Sean Grogan scored two goals each to lead five Bulldog goal scorers, but No. 15 Penn State got off to a quick start and didn't look back, defeating the Yale men's lacrosse team, 17-7, on Saturday afternoon at Panzer Stadium.
 
Penn State improved to 3-2, and Yale dropped to 2-2.

  • Q1 | Penn State started strong, netting three consecutive goals to build a 3–0 lead by the 10:25 mark. Pascal put the Bulldogs on the board at 5:57 off an assist from Moynihan, but the Nittany Lions answered with another goal and carried a three-goal cushion into the second quarter. 4-1 PSU
  • Q2 | The Nittany Lions kept up the pressure, netting four unanswered goals to stretch their advantage to 8–1 with 7:15 remaining. Anderson capitalized on a man-up opportunity to get one back, but Penn State answered and carried a seven-goal lead into halftime. 9-2 PSU
  • Q3 | The Nittany Lions pushed their lead to 11–2 with 11:29 remaining. The Bulldogs responded with goals from Grogan, Pascal, and Cashion to cut the margin to 11–5, but Penn State closed the quarter with four straight scores to regain control. 15-5 PSU
  • Q4 | Penn State scored with 13:14 to go, but Sheehan responded with a man-up goal and then Grogan followed up with his second of the game to trim the deficit to 16-7 with 5:16 remaining. The Nittany Lions scored with 4:04 left and put the game out of reach for good. 17-7 PSU
