MALIBU, Calif. -- Sophomore
Owen Turner drove in two runs in the top of the ninth inning, breaking an 8-8 tie and giving the Yale baseball team a series-clinching 10-8 victory over Pepperdine on Sunday in California.
With the win, Yale improved to 3-3 overall. After splitting the first two games of the series against the Waves, the Bulldogs rallied late to take the rubber game. Pepperdine dropped to 2-8 overall.

- Teo Spadaccini earned his first win of the season in relief for Yale. He tossed 1.1 innings of no-run, no-hit baseball to close out the game.
- Sophomore Jack Dauer went 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
Scoring Summary
- Top 5th | After four scoreless innings, the Bulldogs jumped out to a big lead in the fifth. Bryce Miller started Yale's rally with a single to center and proceeded to steal second and third. After a series of bunt attempts and errors by the Pepperdine defense, the Bulldogs tallied six runs during the frame. Jackson Hays drove in a run with a bunt single. Chris DiPrima singled to left, adding an RBI of his own. Dauer concluded the rally with a two-RBI single to center. 6-0 YALE

- Top 9th | With one out in the ninth, Dauer, Davis Hanson, and Miller were hit by pitches in three consecutive at-bats. With the bases loaded, Turner lined a single to center, scoring Dauer and Hanson and giving the Bulldogs the go-ahead runs. 10-8 YALE
Game Notes
- Yale wrapped up its first-ever series with Pepperdine with a victory, improving to 2-1 overall against the Wave.
- Miller had an excellent weekend at the plate, going 5-for-11 with a .571 OBP during the series.
- Hutchinson played in his first collegiate game, recording a pinch-hit single in his first at bat.
- Daniel Cohen started on the mound for the Bulldogs. He tossed 4.1 innings while allowing three earned runs. Brett Faccio, Tate Evans, and Spadaccini relieved Cohen.
- Larsen hit his second double of the season.
