NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Bez Mbeng '25, from the Yale men's basketball team, has signed a 10-day contract with the Utah Jazz, announced on Thursday.

Mbeng averaged 6.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.2 assists, and 2.0 steals in 29.0 minutes per game through 30 G League regular-season outings for the Sioux Falls Skyforce, Miami's G League affiliate, highlighted by a triple-double of 12 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists against the Grand Valley Vipers.
Mbeng, became the first Ivy player to win Player and Defensive Player of the Year honors, after leading the nation in 2024-25 with three triple-doubles and was one just six active players with multiple career triple-doubles. The Potomac, Maryland native also scored double figures in 23 games during that campaign, including both Ivy Madness games, where he earned All-Tournament honors. He concluded his outstanding collegiate career with 1,189 points, 449 assists, and 195 steals, graduating as Yale's all-time leader in career steals. His 449 assists also rank second in program history.
