NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The No. 5 Yale women's lacrosse team continued its unbeaten streak at Reese Stadium with a 10-8 win vs. Brown Sunday. That was the team's 11th straight win at home, including six wins this season. Sophomore goalkeeper
Niamh Pfaff made a career-high 11 saves.
After allowing the first goal of the game, the Bulldogs scored the next five. The Yale defense held Brown scoreless for 25:31 in the first half, getting three saves from Pfaff in that span.
Yale led 6-2 at halftime. After Brown pulled within 7-4 late in the third, senior attacker
Ashley Newman scored to send Yale into the final quarter with an 8-4 lead. Newman then had a highlight-reel goal in the fourth, shoveling it behind her back past Brown keeper Mackenzie Conway with 13:08 remaining to extend Yale's lead to 10-4. The Bulldogs held on from there.
Yale improves to 8-1 (2-0 Ivy League) on the season while Brown falls to 4-4 (1-1 Ivy League).

- Yale outscored Brown 5-0 from 11:38 of the first until the Bears scored with 2:38 left in the second. After that the Bears got no closer than within three goals until there were 20 seconds left in the game, when Brown closed to within 10-8.

- Yale is the only 2-0 team in the Ivy League. RV Penn and No. 18 Princeton, who are both 1-0 in Ivy play, are the only other teams in the league that have not lost a league game.
