NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale baseball team came from down nine runs to defeat Penn 16-14 in a wild, high-scoring game on Saturday at George H.W. Bush '48 Field. The Bulldogs fell behind 14-5 and scored the final 11 runs of the game, including a two-run squeeze play in the bottom of the eighth inning to take the lead for good.
The Bulldogs improved to 11-8 overall with a 2-2 mark in Ivy League play. Penn dropped to 7-12 overall. Yale handed the Quakers their first conference loss this season. Penn has a 3-1 record in Ivy League games.
Key Performers
• Owen Turner dropped down a bunt on a squeeze play with two strikes in the eighth inning. Both the tying and go-ahead runs scored, giving Yale the victory.
• Garrett Larsen went 3-for-4 with three RBIs.
• Chris DiPrima collected four hits and drove in a pair of runs.

The Bulldogs pulled off a suicide squeeze in which the tying and go-ahead runs scored on the play. • Tate Evans earned the win on the mound for the Bulldogs. Evans entered the game in the eighth with one out and got the final five outs, striking out three Quakers. Evans earned his third victory this season.
• Jack Ohman started the game, allowing eight runs over 2.2 innings. Ohman was relieved by Ethan Lewis, Brett Faccio and Evans.
