SARASOTA, Fla. – The Yale heavyweight crew team wrapped up competition at the Sarasota 2K, hosted at Nathan Benderson Park.
Heat Results
On Friday, the Bulldogs competed in the opening heats with Brown and Northeastern to begin the weekend.
- The varsity eight placed first in its heat, defeating Northeastern and Brown to secure the Albert Cup. Established in 2014, the Albert Cup is contested between Yale and Brown. The win marked Yale's first in the series since 2024.
- The third varsity eight finished third in its heat with a time of 6:04.50.
- The second varsity eight also placed third in its heat, recording a time of 5:54.76.
Grand Final Results
On Saturday, the Bulldogs raced in the grand finals against Harvard, University of Washington, Northeastern, Brown, and Stanford.Â
- The third varsity eight placed sixth with a time of 6:15.55.
- The second varsity eight finished sixth in 6:03.83.
- The varsity eight placed sixth with a time of 5:58.75.
