DUISBURG, Germany – Two members of the Yale heavyweight crew squad shined on the international stage at the 2026 World Rowing Under 23 Championships.

Ben Mead '28 and Christian Reese '29 competed for Great Britain in Duisburg, with Mead winning gold in the men's four (4-) and Reese earning gold in the men's eight (8+).

Mead is now a two-time U23 world champion after also winning gold with Great Britain's men's eight in 2025.

Reese helped Great Britain secure its seventh consecutive U23 world title in the men's eight.
