Bulldogs Fall to Fairfield on the Road

FAIRFIELD, Conn. – The Yale baseball team dropped a non-conference matchup to Fairfield on Tuesday afternoon at Don '63 and Chris '88 Cook Field. The Stags downed the Bulldogs 9-6 thanks to a go-ahead, three-run home run in the eighth by Luke Nomura.

With the win, Fairfield improved to 12-11 overall. The Bulldogs dropped to 13-9 overall.

• Junior Garrett Larsen picked up three hits for the Bulldogs, driving in one run.

• The loss snapped a four-game win streak for the Bulldogs.
• Miller hit the first home run of his collegiate career. He has reached base in 19 consecutive games.
• Dossa extended his on-base streak to 15 games with a double in the third. He leads the team with 13 extra-base hits this season.
• Larsen recorded three hits and has 10 multi-hit games this season.
• Dauer drove in one run and leads the team with 24 RBIs.
Matt Pearch started on the mound for Yale, tossing 2.0 innings while allowing one run. He was relieved by Alex Hwang, Nick West, and Ethan Lewis.
