Scoring Depth on Display as No. 6 Yale Beats CCSU

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The No. 6 Yale women's lacrosse team got goals from 10 different players Wednesday afternoon at Reese Stadium en route to a 22-4 win over in-state rivals Central Connecticut State. Three Bulldogs had hat tricks, including two who scored four goals: first-year midfielder Meg Bohan and junior defender Lauren McCartin. Junior attacker Ashley Kiernan scored three goals for her fourth hat trick of the season.
 
Yale improves to 5-0 (0-0 Ivy League) on the season while CCSU falls to 0-4 (0-0 NEC).
 
STATISTICAL LEADERS
  • First-year midfielder Meg Bohan and junior defender Lauren McCartin had a game-high four goals each.
  • Sophomore attacker Kelly Holmes had a game-high four assists and six points.
  • Sophomore midfielder Olivia Weston had a game-high five draw controls.
  • Sophomore goalkeeper Niamh Pfaff made three saves allowed just one goal in 17:00.
 
TURNING POINT
