DANBURY, Conn. -- Defenders Gracie Gilkyson and Molly Boyle earned ECAC Hockey monthly accolades, as announced by the conference on Thursday afternoon. Gilkyson, a senior, was named Defender of the Month, while Boyle earned Rookie of the Month honors.

Gilkyson earned Defender of the Month recognition with a strong performance on the blue line for the Bulldogs during the month of February. She was +5 on the month with two goals and five assists for seven points in six games. The Calgary native tallied one goal in the Bulldogs' 4-2 win over Union in the first quarterfinal game. Gilkyson also achieved national recognition as a runner-up for Defender of the Month by the Hockey Commissioners Association (HCA).

Boyle was named Rookie of the Month for the second time this season. The Phillips Academy Andover alumna netted three goals, tallied five assists and was +10 on the month in six games. Boyle averaged 1.33 points per game and netted the game-winner while adding an assist in the Bulldogs' 5-4 win over Clarkson on Feb. 6. Boyle also was a runner-up for Rookie of the Month by the HCA.

Yale will face Cornell in the ECAC Hockey semifinals on Friday at 4 p.m. for a spot in the championship game.
