Courtney Sherwin Joins Yale Athletics Staff as Assistant Athletic Director, Club Sports & Undergraduate Intramurals

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Courtney Sherwin has joined the Yale Athletics staff as Assistant Athletic Director, Club Sports & Undergraduate Intramurals. Sherwin's primary focus will be overseeing, supporting and enhancing Yale's 49 club sport teams and historic undergraduate intramural program.

"We are excited to welcome Courtney to the Campus Recreation team," said Ryan Hagen, Yale's Associate Athletic Director, Campus Recreation. "As a talented professional and former club sport athlete, she brings a dynamic blend of experience and perspective that will strengthen our program."

Prior to joining the Yale staff, Sherwin had served as Assistant Director, Sport Programs at the University of California, Santa Cruz since December of 2022. In that role, she helped coordinate the university's sport clubs and year-round intramural leagues.  

Sherwin served as Intramural Sports Coordinator at Eastern Washington University from August 2021 to November of 2022. Prior to that, she was an Intramural & Club Sports Graduate Assistant at SUNY Brockport from August 2019 to May 2021.

Sherwin earned a Bachelor of Science in accounting from SUNY Brockport in 2019 and a Master of Science in accounting from SUNY Brockport in 2021. She was the women's club soccer team president.

Sherwin is originally from Ogdensburg, N.Y., and now lives in New Haven, Conn.
