NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's track and field team competed at a pair of meets Friday.
At the 44 Farms Team Invitational at Texas A&M's E.B. Cushing Stadium, junior
Gloria Guerrier placed third in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:00.15. That time was slightly more than a second off her personal best. SMU's Kirin Chacchia won with a time of 57.27.
Also at A&M, first-year
Layni Kaase wrapped up competition in the heptathlon. She finished 16th with 4677 points. Cincinnati's Juliette Laracuente-Huebner, a second team All-American in this event for the past two years, finished first with 5920 points. This meet marked a homecoming for Kaase, a native of College Station.
At Providence's Friar Invitational, junior
Daniella Henderson (4:58.10, 16th) and senior
Linde Fonville (5:01.09, 18th) competed in the mile.
Competition at A&M concludes Saturday, and the Bulldogs will also compete at Bucknell's Bison Outdoor Classic this weekend.
