NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale softball team begun its final three-game set of the 2026 season with a bang, sweeping a doubleheader against Dartmouth by 10-1 and 12-0 scores, both games invoking the run rule.
With the victories, Yale improved to 17-27 (7-13 Ivy) on the season, and Dartmouth dropped to 7-22 (4-12 Ivy). Both teams are mathematically eliminated from Ivy League Tournament contention.
Game 1: Yale 10, Dartmouth 1 (5 innings)
- T2 - Yale got off to an ultra-fast start, putting up a six-spot in the second inning, punctuated by a two-RBI double from Ella Cross. (YAL 6, DAR 0)
- T4 - Jane Littleton kept the Bulldogs rolling with an RBI single that scored Ava Kang. (YAL 7, DAR 0)
- B4 - The Big Green answered Yale's scoring barrage with a solo home run that cut the lead back to six. (YAL 7, DAR 1)
- T5 - The Bulldogs responded quite quickly to Dartmouth's scoring attempt, plating three more runs in the top of the fifth. (YAL 10, DAR 1)
- B5 - Ellie Joseph closed out her complete game victory, ending the game in five innings via the run rule. (YAL 10, DAR 1)

- Three Bulldogs had multiple RBI, including Cross with three.
- This was Joseph's ninth outing of five innings or more this season.
Game 2: Yale 12, Dartmouth 0 (5 innings)
- T1 - After a Libby Peoples RBI single, Elena Ohe notched a two-RBI hit for herself, putting the Bulldogs up three early. (YAL 3, DAR 0)
- T2 - A six-spot in the inning blew the game open for Yale, headlined by a two-RBI double from Grace Westmoreland. (YAL 9, DAR 0)
- T3 - After a Peoples triple, Westmoreland brought her home on an RBI groundout. (YAL 10, DAR 0)
- T4 - Another two runs put the Bulldogs up by an even dozen. (YAL 12, DAR 0)
- B5 - Emma Taylor finished off Yale's second five-inning complete game of the day. (YAL 12, DAR 0)
Notes
- With her game-ending punch out, Emma Taylor officially reached the 300 strikeout milestone for her Yale career.
- This was the first time Yale has scored double-digit runs in consecutive Ivy League games since scoring 21 and 10 runs respectively against Cornell on March 22, 2025.
- Both games were also the first time Yale has scored double-digit runs against Dartmouth since hanging 10 on the Big Green on April 22, 2017.
- Littleton now leads the team with 24 RBI on the season.
- Joseph (107.1 IP) and Taylor (100.2 IP) currently rank No. 3 and 4 in the Ivy League for innings pitched this season.
