FAIRLEE, Vt. – The Yale heavyweight crew team traveled north to Lake Morey, the home of Dartmouth rowing, for a slate of races against the Big Green Saturday evening. Dartmouth took each of the races, with its first varsity boat winning the Olympic Axe for the second-straight year over the Bulldogs.
Results
The racing slate featured 2,000-meter races for each school's top four varsity boats. The first varsity boats competed for the Olympic Axe, which Dartmouth won for the first time ever in 2025.
- Dartmouth's 4V and 5V boats took over the first race of the slate, with both reaching the finish line before Yale's 4V.
- The Big Green took the 3V race from the Bulldogs with an eight-second win.
- Yale kept things close in the 1V and 2V races, but Dartmouth took them both by 2.9 and 3.5 seconds, respectively.
