NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Five members of the Yale women's track and field team have earned spots in the NCAA East First Round meet, which takes place May 28 and 30 at Kentucky. The meet determines selections for the NCAA Championships, set for June 11 and 13 at Oregon.
The top 48 declared student-athletes per gender in the region are accepted for each individual event contested at each of the First Round sites. There are two First Round sites, with the NCAA West First Round competition taking place at Arkansas.
The top 12 competitors or relay teams in each event at each First Round site will advance to the final Championships site, Oregon's Hayward Field.
