ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Yale coed sailing team earned a podium finish at the Intercollegiate Sailing Association (ICSA) Open Fleet Race National Championship, placing third overall with 211 total points after four days of racing in St. Petersburg, Florida. The Bulldogs advanced through semifinal competition before delivering a strong performance in the championship finals against the nation's top programs.
Brown won the event, followed by Stanford and Yale.
Yale showed consistency throughout the regatta and finished among the top teams in one of college sailing's premier national championship events. The Bulldogs were especially strong in B Division during the finals, totaling 104 points and closing the regatta with several standout races, including a pair of victories.
Morgan Pinckney and
Annabel Woodworth represented Yale in A Division, while the Bulldogs also received key performances throughout the week from
Julia Miller,
Dorothy Mendelblatt,
Audrey Foley,
Mathias Reimer and
Sarah Moeder. Yale's balanced effort across both divisions helped the Bulldogs secure their place on the national podium.
The third-place finish capped another outstanding postseason run for Yale sailing, which qualified for the national championship after a strong spring campaign competing against many of the top-ranked programs in the country
