Four Bulldogs Set to Compete at World Rowing Under 23 Championships

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Four members of the Yale heavyweight crew team are set to compete for their respective countries at the 2026 World Rowing Under 23 Championships.

The regatta will take place July 23-26 at the Wedau Regatta Course in Duisburg, Germany.

The Yale rowers and their affiliated countries are:

  • Ben Mead '28 – Great Britain – Men's Four (4-)
  • Christian Reese '29 – Great Britain – Men's Eight (8+)
  • Scott Moorcroft '27 – South Africa – Men's Four (4-)
  • Jakob Bergmann '30 – Germany – Alternate

The premier event of the year for Under 23 rowers in the classic discipline, the World Rowing Under 23 Championships (WRU23CH) typically draws nearly 1,000 competitors from around the world.
