OMAHA, Neb. – The Yale men's soccer team fell to No. 12 Creighton on Sunday evening in Omaha, Neb. The Bluejays topped the Bulldogs 3-1 to remain unbeaten this season.
With the victory, Creighton improved to 4-0-2. Yale dropped to 1-4 overall.
"It was certainly not the result we wanted today, but there are lots of bright spots to focus on against a very good Creighton team," said Kylie Stannard, the 5K Corral Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "I was very happy with how we responded from the last game when everything went against us. I think we deserved to go to halftime at least with a draw, and we have to do better to finish halves. We had some good attacking moments and hit another post, as well."
"We need to continue working on executing our attacking transition moments and be better in possession once we get into our attacking half," Stannard said. "This will take more stress off us and hopefully stop us from turning the ball over in really bad areas and in bad moments."
