Four First-Half Goals Lift Bulldogs Past Fordham

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – The Yale women's soccer team erupted for four first-half goals, with JoJo DeNegri scoring twice and Abigail Solomon and Selma Larbi each adding a goal, before Kyleigh Carr added a second-half tally to power the Bulldogs to a 5-1 victory over Fordham on Sunday afternoon at Reese Stadium.

Yale improved to 4-4-0, and Fordham dropped to 3-3-1.

"We've been creating these types of chances over the past couple of weeks, and I'm so happy with the efficiency we showed," said Sarah Martinez, the Loring Family Head Coach of Women's Soccer. "We've challenged the group about the standard and the expectation every time we step out here, and they responded well today."

"The next big test for us is putting these types of performances together consistently. We have a week to regroup as we head into one game weeks moving forward, so it will be great to rest a bit and clean some things up," added Martinez.
