NEW HAVEN, Conn. – On a tremendously wet and windy Saturday evening, the Yale men's soccer team earned a gritty 1-1 draw against Penn at Reese Stadium. The Bulldogs fell behind 1-0 early in the second half, but Teague McCammon scored the equalizer in the 63rd minute in the team's Ivy League opener.
The Bulldogs earned their first draw of the season, moving to 2-5-1 overall. The Quakers' record sits at 3-1-2.
"This was another gutsy performance and I am really proud of the guys for digging in and earning a point against a Penn team that came into the game ranked in the top-15 in the national RPI," said Kylie Stannard, the 5K Corral Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "The conditions were tough for both teams and I thought we were a little off on some technical execution, but the most important thing is that we stuck together and continued to fight and believe we would get a goal back after going down after the unfortunate penalty. This group is growing in spirit and starting to learn what it takes so we are excited to keep building off the recent performances."

• 50' | Penn earned a penalty kick after a Yale handball in the box. Jack-Ryan Jeremiah converted the ensuing attempt to give Penn the lead. 1-0 PENN
• 63' | YALE GOAL! The Bulldogs went on the counterattack as Angelo Zhu delivered a long pass from midfield to Salif Leintu in the box. Leintu patiently waited for Sven Meacham to make a run down the near side of the box. Just before he reached the end line, Meacham crossed it to McCammon, who scored off the volley to tie the game. 1-1
