UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Yale men's soccer team dropped a road matchup to Penn State on Friday evening. Joe Buckley scored the game's lone goal in the 50th minute to give the Nittany Lions the 1-0 victory over the Bulldogs.
With the win, Penn State improved to 2-2 overall. Yale dropped to 1-2 overall this season.
"Overall, I am happy with our effort and performance, and we gave ourselves a chance to get a result on the road against a quality team," said
Kylie Stannard, the 5K Corral Head Coach of the Bulldogs. "We are disappointed about getting stretched early in the second half and allowing a pretty soft goal, but we still kept going and started getting a hold of the game as it went along and had a couple great opportunities to get an equalizer. We showed good depth tonight in a few positions which will bode well for future games."

The Bulldogs will continue their road trip at the University of Nebraska at Omaha on Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. in a non-conference matchup.
