NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Both Aaron Fuchs and Hywel Robinson fell in
the round of 16 in the Pool Division of the CSA Men's Individual
Championships late Friday. In the Molloy Division,
Christopher Plimpton bested fellow Bulldog Robert Berner on
Saturday night to advance to the tournament semifinals.
In Pool Division play, Trinity's Andres Vargas defeated senior
Aaron Fuchs in three close games. Freshman Hywel Robinson
lost to Princeton's Kelly Shannon in a five-game battle after
jumping out to an early 2-0 lead.
Three Bulldogs saw action in the Molloy Cup round of 16.
Sophomore Robert Berner advanced in a tough five-game contest,
while junior Christopher Plimpton won in four games. Junior
Naishadh Lalwani was eliminated after falling in three games.
In the Molloy quarterfinals, Berner and Plimpton faced off against
one another in a battle of Bulldogs. Plimpton got the upper
hand, winning in a very closely-matched five-game contest to
advance to the semifinals.
