Yale Has Two Of Top Five Finishers In Women's Eight
PRINCETON, N.J. – The Yale women's crew ended the fall season with a strong performance at the Princeton Chase on Lake Carnegie. Yale was the only school with two top crews in the top five in the women's eight.
Yale's first varsity eight finished third with a time of 14:13.906. The second varsity placed fifth in 14:18.656 and the third varsity came in 36th in 15:18.914. Virginia was the winner with a time of 13:41.434.
In the novice eight, the Bulldogs finished eighth with a time of 16:38.658.
"I was happy with the way we raced today," said Yale head coach Will Porter. "The chase is a great race with a much more clean result than the Charles. This gives us a clear understanding of what we have to do this winter in terms of fitness in order to compete this spring. We are going to try our best to be as fast as we can this winter."
