Bulldogs Cruise in Season-Opening Victory Versus UMass-Lowell, 19-4

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Fifteen different players recorded points as the No. 15/17 Yale University men's lacrosse team opened the season with a 19-4 victory over UMass-Lowell.

The Bulldogs (1-0, 0-0 Ivy) were led by Conrad Oberbeck (Greenwich, Conn.) and Ben Reeves (Macedon, N.Y.) with six points each.  Oberbeck had five goals and one assist while Reeves scored twice and had four helpers in his first collegiate game.

Yale scored six goals in each of the first two quarters, taking a 12-1 lead at the half on the visitors.

The River Hawks, playing their first ever Division I contest, were led with two goals by Cory Highfield (Georgetown, Ontario).

Next up for Yale is No. 8 Maryland (1-0) on Feb. 21 at Reese Stadium.
