Shay Tabbed NEILA Coach of the Year; Five Bulldogs Garner All-New England Team Honors

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Following a memorable season, the Yale men's lacrosse team garnered well deserved recognition from the NEILA, as head coach Andy Shay was named Coach of the Year and five members earned All-New England honors.
 
Connor Gately and Patrick Pisano were selected to the first team, while Cole Cashion, Peter Moynihan and Konrad Miklaszewski earned second-team honors.
 
Shay led the Bulldogs to their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2023, guiding a young Yale roster that featured 13 first-years. After opening the season 3-4 overall and 0-2 in league play, Yale rebounded by winning six of its next seven games to emerge as a postseason contender. That pivotal run included signature victories over No. 9 Cornell (13-12), No. 5 Harvard (15-9), and No. 18 Boston University (16-11), solidifying Yale as one of the league's top teams down the stretch. The Bulldogs also pushed No. 6 seed Syracuse to the brink in the NCAA Tournament First Round, narrowly falling 16–15 after the Orange's goalkeeper made a series of standout saves in the final seconds to preserve the win.
 
Gately, enjoyed a standout season for Yale, leading the team with 32 assists and 57 points while ranking second with 25 goals. He recorded seven-multi goal games, highlighted by four-goal performances against both Boston University and Brown, and tallied a hat trick against Princeton in the Ivy League semifinals. Additionally, he posted at least two assists in 11 contests, including three in the NCAA Tournament first round game at Syracuse.
 
Pisano, had a stellar senior campaign for the Bulldogs, earning All-America accolades from both Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse Magazine. The Cold Spring Harbor, New York native collected All-Ivy honors for the third straight season and was a key part of Yale's defense. The senior led the Bulldogs with 22 caused turnovers and ranked third in the league with an average of 1.47 per game. He also tied a career high with four caused turnovers in Yale's upset win over Cornell.
 
Cashion, had a breakout junior season for Yale, earning USA Lacrosse All-America honors and was tabbed Second Team All-Ivy. The Rumson, New Jersey native finished tied for third on the team with 20 goals, and scored in eight straight games, capped off by a hat trick against Syracuse in the NCAA Tournament. Additionally, he scored a career-high five goals in Yale's upset win over the Crimson, earning a spot on the USILA Team of the Week.
 
Moynihan, put together a sensational junior campaign for the Bulldogs, earning All-America honors from both Inside Lacrosse and USA Lacrosse Magazine and is a Second Team All-Ivy selection. The Cold Spring Habor, New York native finished the season tied for third on the squad with 20 goals and 27 points, while also ranking fourth with seven assists. He also delivered in key situations, leading Yale with four game-winning goals. Among his biggest performances were a four-goal outing against No. 9 Cornell to lead the Bulldogs, and a dramatic late goal at Brown with 1:34 left that clinched Yale's spot in the Ivy League Tournament.
 
Miklaszewski, delivered a strong senior season for Yale that earned him Second Team All-Ivy accolades. He was an integral piece of Yale's defense, playing in 14 games, ranking fourth on the team with eight caused turnovers, and collected 16 ground balls.
