NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Andy Shay, the Forst Family Head Coach of Men's Lacrosse, has announced that
Anthony Annunziata will serve as captain for Yale next season.
"I'm super excited that his teammates bestowed him with this honor," said Shay. "Those are big shoes to fill, and I know his teammates selected the guy to do it. I'm sure he will be another in a long line of great Yale lacrosse captain selections."
Annunziata played an integral role for Yale this season, appearing in every game for the Bulldogs. The junior picked up 20 ground balls and stepped up in crucial moments throughout the year, including tallying his first collegiate assist in Yale's NCAA First Round game at Syracuse — a feed that found this season's captain,
Patrick Pisano, for a goal.
"I'm honored," said Annunziata. "We are grateful for what this year's graduating class has done and built for this team. They truly left this program better than they found it. We are excited for what's in store for this group. Can't wait to get right back to work."
Along with the announcement of the team captain, the 2026 team awards were also revealed.
