NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Yale women's squash assertively snapped a two-game conference losing streak Wednesday as the Bulldogs cruised to a 9-0 victory against No. 11 Brown at the Brady Squash Center.
Seven of the nine matches went Yale's way in just three games, and two Bulldogs — freshman Jocelyn Lehman and junior Annie Ballaine — had games in which they did not concede a single point to their opponents. Senior Issey Norman-Ross faced the toughest challenge of the day at No. 3, but overcame a 2-0 deficit to win in five (8-11,9-11,11-5,11-8,11-8).
The victory gives Yale (9-3, 3-2 Ivy) a strong positive result ahead of Friday's night rivalry match, in which the Bulldogs will take on No. 3 Harvard in Cambridge. That contest will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will be broadcast on the Ivy League Digital Network.
