No. 4 Bulldogs Best No. 7 Cornell; Await No. 8 Columbia

NEW HAVEN, Conn. — Yale women's squash picked up its season right where it left off with a 9-0 sweep of No. 7 Cornell on Saturday at the Brady Squash Center.

Yale (3-0, 2-0 Ivy) showed off its overall quality with wins from the top down. The Bulldogs demonstrated both the ability to finish off opponents quickly — winning three matches in the minimum three sets — and to withstand a few strong individual efforts from the visitors to come out victorious in closer matches.

Ivy squash action at Payne Whitney continues Sunday, as Yale hosts No. 8 Columbia. The Lions (3-0, 1-0 Ivy) enter the contest having just notched their first league win in a 7-2 victory over No. 11 Brown, whom the Bulldogs defeated 9-0 in Providence on Dec. 8. The match, Yale's last Ivy fixture until February, will begin at 12:00 p.m.
