DULUTH, Ga.-The Bulldogs have finished the AutoTrader.com Collegiate Classic in tenth place at +14. UNC Greenboro finished the day two shots ahead of Yale in ninth, while Ole Miss took the tournament crown with an impressive 33-under performance. The second-place team, Lipscomb, finished 15 shots back of the Rebels at a still-formidable 18-under.
Junior Will Bernstein had strong second and third rounds for the Bulldogs, ending the tournament in a tie for 28th place individually and +1 overall. Senior captain Li Wang also performed well, finishing with a 1-over 73 and a +2 total score. His consistency at the back-end of the season has been paramount for the Elis, and will continue to be an important factor in their success come springtime.
Braden Thornberry of Ole Miss shot a 6-under 66 to medal individually. His -18 final tally beat the next closest competitor by eight strokes. Thornberry has competed as an amateur on the PGA tour, and is most famous for shooting an incredible 61 as a fifteen-year-old. Of course, that barely holds a candle to Yale's own Wang, who put up a 60 earlier this season.

The next time the Bulldogs compete will probably be Spring Break 2017. It has been a very successful Fall season for the team; the freshmen recruits, Eric Hall and Jordan Weitz, proved that they will be important pieces for coach Colin Sheehan '97 down the road, and the team revealed its depth at every age level. If the Fall is any sign, the Spring season will be a lot of fun for Yale's talented golfers.
