PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Yale won its eighth straight match and hit .344 in a 3-0 sweep at Penn on Saturday evening.
With the win, the Bulldogs improved to 8-5 overall and 4-0 in league play. A national TV appearance for the second straight year awaits the Bulldogs, who play at Princeton on ESPNU tomorrow at 1 p.m. ET.
The scores of tonight's match were 25-18, 25-21 and 25-20.Â
Samantha Bray and Izzy Simqu owned the net with seven kills each while both hitting .500. Bray finished with five blocks. Â
Kathryn Attar and Ellis DeJardin both led the Bulldogs with 11 kills each, while Frances Arnautou dished out 36 assists and added four kills of her own.
Yurika Boyd had a match-high 12 digs for the Bulldogs, who owned a 39-34 edge for the match. Maile Somera added nine digs after she posted 10 in the victory over Dartmouth last weekend.Â
Yale set the tone for the match by hitting .483 as a team in the first set with 16 kills on 29 swings with only two errors.Â
