NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale women's tennis team is prepared for action across the east coast this coming weekend, with the majority of the team traveling to West Point, N.Y. for the ITA Regional Championships and the remaining members heading east to Providence for the Brown Invitational.
Coming off of their historical run at the ITA All-American Championships, Jessie Gong and Samantha Martinelli will both be playing singles in West Point. They will be joined by Caroline Dunleavy, Chelsea Kung, Raissa Lou, and Rhea Shrivastava. This tournament also provides the Bulldogs with the opportunity to try out new doubles teams, as Shrivastava/Dunleavy and Lou/Kung will both be playing in the doubles draw. Play begins Thursday, October 17th with Qualifying Singles and continues till Tuesday with the doubles and singles final.
Heading to Providence will be Kathy Wang and Lauren Gillinov. The two of them will be playing singles and doubles together as they represent the Bulldogs on rival turf. Play begins Friday and concludes Sunday.Â
