THE 2017 YALE-FORDHAM GAME
The Bulldogs were barking in the Bronx as soon as they got off the bus, rolling to a 41-10 win. The Elis jumped out to a 21-0 lead before the Rams could figure out what was happening. Quarterback
Kurt Rawlings completed his first 14 passing attempts before finishing 18 of 20 for 189 yards and a score while playing less than three full quarters. The versatile signal-caller also hurt Fordham with his feet, running for 25 yards on four plays and helping his team total 472 yards of offense.
Patrick Conte, who has been playing a lot of tight end for the 2019 team, had the snaps in the fourth while
Melvin Rouse II had five catches. Yale went on to a 9-1 season and its first outright league championship in 37 years, while the Rams went 4-7 and ended up hiring
Joe Conlin from the Eli staff after the season./////////////
